American Express has made its "Blue Cash" card richer by recently removing the spending cap. Cardholders receive up to 5% in cash back rewards for purchases made at gas stations, grocery stores and drug stores and up to 1% spent elsewhere. "Blue Cash" cardholders earn 0.5% on all annual purchases up to $6,500 and 1.0% on purchases over that amount up to $50,000. "Everyday Purchases" earn 1.0% on annual purchases up to $6,500 and 5.0% on purchases over that amount up to $50,000. The card carries no annual fee.
