The number of contactless "blink" cards has now climbed to six million nationwide. The latest markets for the revolutionary Chase credit cards are the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex area and the greater Orlando area. Chase is issuing about 800,000 new credit cards with "blink" to Texas cardholders with an initial base of approximately 500 merchant locations in 32 Texas counties. Chase is also unveiling its new "blink"-enabled "Texas Rangers Ultimate Fan Rewards MasterCard" in the state. Meanwhile, Chase is delivering approximately 500,000 cards with "blink" to Central Florida customers with an initial base of over 320 locations in nine counties. Launched in May, Chase credit cards with "blink" have now been issued in nine states including Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Florida, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Texas. To use Chase cards with "blink," cardholders simply hold their card near a point-of-sale reader at checkout, instead of swiping their card or handing it to a store employee. As cardholders hold their Chase card with "blink" near the point-of-sale reader, the reader will quickly emit a tone and light up to signal payment confirmation.
