With lines of credit up to $35,000 and a six-month introductory rate of 5.9%, the new American Express-National Restaurant Association affinity card provides value with no reservations.
The card offers a wide array of benefits and discounts for cardmembers from retailers, travel and financial services, such as:

-- savings and value-added offers from Continental Airlines, 800-SEND-FTD, Mobil Speedpass, J&R Music and Computer World

-- an American Express Travel Services desk dedicated to cardmember travel needs

-- American Express Financial Advisors offering complimentary consultations

-- Convenient cash access through the Express Cash Program

-- Travel Accident Insurance, Purchase Protection, Buyer’s Assurance, the American Express Credit Protection Plan, 24-hour Customer Service, and Emergency Card Replacement

-- Additional card availability at no cost The co-branded card is just the latest initiative in a 30-year relationship between American Express and the National Restaurant Association. Previously they have jointly sponsored the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation’s Food Service Management Professional program, and the Hospitality Business Alliance, a school-to-career program designed to attract future restaurant industry professionals.

American Express also offers the Guaranteed Restaurant Reservations program, which helps to reduce financial losses due to reservation no-shows, and the Catering and Private Party Program, which uses consumer media direct mail and promotions to develop and increase restaurant and private party revenue.

Restaurateurs can find out more about this newly launched affinity card, which is accepted everywhere American Express cards are welcome, by calling 800-THE-CARD, or by contacting American Express on their Web site, www.americanexpress.com.
