Use your American Express card to purchase a ticket to London on Virgin Atlantic Airways, and your companion can go along for as little as $99. Depending on dates of travel and city of departure, when you use the American Express card to purchase a qualifying round-trip Economy Class ticket, your companion can fly for $99 to $299.
Some examples of the special fare arrangements include: depart from NYC, Boston, Washington, D.C., Miami or Orlando between November 1 and December 10, 1998, and your companion flies for $199, or depart between December 25, 1998 and February 28, 1999, and your companion flies for $99; depart from Los Angeles or San Francisco between November 1, 1998 and December 10, 1998, and your companion flies for $299, or depart between December 25, 1998 and February 28, 1999 and your companion flies for $199.
The following restrictions apply: tickets must be purchased by December 20, 1998; travel is not permitted between December 11, 1998 and December 24, 1998; travel must begin by February 28, 1999; offer applies to 21-day or 45-day Apex fares only; all passengers will be responsible for approximately $75 in airport taxes and surcharges.
