Professional golf sensation and recent Masters champion Tiger Woods has agreed to a long-term contract to promote American Express. The AmEx-Woods campaign gets underway this morning with full-page advertisements in major newspapers. The five year contract has an estimated value of $20 million, about the same as his Titleist contract. It has been widely rumored MasterCard also participated in the six-month bidding war for the Woods endorsement.
