“MasterCard Roots of Rock” Sweepstakes, which launches today.
Jon Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton and Kenny Chesney have teamed up with
MasterCard to offer five lucky MasterCard cardholders in the U.S. an
opportunity to win once-in-a-lifetime music experiences that money just
can’t buy. Every time consumers use their MasterCard cards between July
1 and August 31, 2008, they will be automatically entered for a chance
to win a Priceless concert experience in a place where the artist of
their choice got their start.* Grand prize packages include a trip for
four in 2009 for a meet and greet with the artist; a tour of locations
that retrace his roots; and to see him perform in concert. Locations
include: New York/New Jersey area for Jon Bon Jovi; London, England for
Eric Clapton; and Nashville for Kenny Chesney.

Additionally, cardholders will receive double entries for each
MasterCard® PayPass™ tap transaction.

their rises to fame. The site also features free Universal Music Group
downloads for MasterCard cardholders while supplies last, as well as
comprehensive information on all three artists including bios, exclusive
photos, concert tour dates, links to purchase the artists’ latest albums
and to their official websites. Free video downloads from legendary PBS
series Soundstage Presented by MasterCard are also available for
MasterCard cardholders.
A fully-integrated marketing platform also launches today in support of
the promotion. It includes print, radio, out of home, online and a new
Priceless® television spot entitled, “Living It.” Additionally, 252
customer financial institutions are in the promotion via direct mail,
in-branch materials and promotional copy.
